Three Spokane Valley Tech (SVT) students demonstrated their real-world job skills at the Washington SkillsUSA competitions held in Yakima on April 21st. Competing in the Additive Manufacturing Competition, Payton Bello and Spencer Donahue proved they have workplace skills in design, engineering, and 3D printing by winning the Washington State Championship. Payton and Spencer have the opportunity to represent Washington State at the SkillsUSA Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky in June. Jack Cramer earned the silver medal in Precision Machining where he used the metal lathe, mill, and measurement tools to demonstrate skills that also earned him an entry-level position at a local machining company.
