After winning GOLD in the Additive Manufacturing competition at the state SkillsUSA competition in April, Spencer Donahue, an Advanced Manufacturing student at Spokane Valley Tech, began to prepare for the National Leadership and Skills Conference being held in Louisville, KY in late June. Fundraising to offset the travel costs can be daunting, but on June 1st it was announced that Spencer is the Washington State recipient of the 2018 mikeroweWorks scholarship! This travel scholarship will support costs of travel and participation in the National SkillsUSA Championships. Additionally, the winners may have the opportunity to attend a luncheon with a member of the mikeroweWORKS Foundation staff during the conference as well as a reception including photo with Mike Rowe. Congratulations, Spencer!
